Stag Deal Rainiers Painful Loss
Despite a fine performance by center fielder Daryl Boston, the Tacoma Rainiers suffered a 10-9 loss to the Portland Stag. Boston went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Portland is now 20-15, Tacoma 12-23.

Mike Mordecai aided the Portland cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the shortstop went 1-4 with a walk.

"It was one of those games where both teams were swinging the bat well," Mordecai said.
