The Spokane River Rats eked out a 4-3 win versus the Naperville Lazy Fisherman at Ballpark of Milton. Nobody did more than pitcher Rick Helling, who captured player of the game honors. The first-place River Rats have won 5 straight games.

Spokane used the bat of Michael Tucker to get the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the River Rats ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"Coulda, shoulda, woulda," said Naperville manager . "We had our chances and didn't cash in."
