Hammonds, Lazy Fisherman Humble Rainiers

The Naperville Lazy Fisherman had no problem beating the Tacoma Rainiers, 12-1, at Premont Grounds. Jeffrey Hammonds led the way. He went 4-6 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 for Naperville. The 5th-place Lazy Fisherman raised their record to 25-27.
David Bell was a prime contributor to the Naperville win. He went 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the third with one out, the 24-year old third baseman hit a 2-run home run. It made the score 5-0, in favor of the Lazy Fisherman.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Bell said after the game.
