Cardinals Top White Sox in 12
|
St. Louis pitcher Scott Erickson did his part in helping his team beat the Chicago White Sox, 6-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The White Sox fall to 8-15 and continue their lackluster start in 1995.
Erickson, a native of Long Beach, California, was dealing all game. He kept Chicago hitters off-balance, while giving the Cardinals 8.1 quality innings. Erickson threw 110 pitches, allowing 5 hits and striking out 7.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said St. Louis manager Adam Rabel.
