The Omaha Storm Chasers trumped the Portland Stag, 5-0, at Maples Stadium. Omaha right fielder Danny Clyburn was named player of the game for his performance. He went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. Omaha reliever Allen McDill picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-1. Dave Burba was collared with the loss. The losing streak for Portland has now reached 5 games.

One of the stars of the game was Omaha shortstop Pablo Martinez. In the bottom of the second with one out, he got a slider from Dave Burba and hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-0 in favor of the Storm Chasers.

Clyburn told a Omaha Observer reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
