Victory Over Stag Takes Spokane to 37-22
The Spokane River Rats defeated the Portland Stag, 9-5, at Tuttle Fields today. Leading the charge for Spokane was right fielder Gene Kingsale. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The River Rats have an impressive 37-22 record.

Luis M. Lopez aided the Spokane cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the third. For the game, the second baseman was 1-4 with a double and was hit by a pitch.

"This is a very good team," said Kingsale. "We have the chance to do something special."
