The Portland Stag and starting pitcher Omar Olivares stifled the Spokane offense en route to a comfortable 9-2 win at Foxes Ballpark. Portland leads the Pacific West by 3 games.

It could have been a different outcome for Portland, had it not been for Andujar Cedeno, the 25-year old second baseman . Cedeno contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the third inning to put Portland up, 3-1.

"Omar's tempo and rhythm were good," said Stag manager . "He was the key to us winning."
