Getting an impressive start from Dave Burba, Portland beat Tucson by the score of 4-1. Chuck Ricci got the save, his 22nd in 23 chances. The Stag own a robust 56-30 mark.

In the bottom of the first, second baseman Alex Arias hit a 2-run double to right. The double, which was hit off of Donne Wall, gave Portland a 3-0 lead.
