|
The Portland Stag relied on the hitting of right fielder Jeff Kunkel to stop the Omaha Storm Chasers, 6-4. For the game, Kunkel was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The Stag now have a record of 47-42 with the win over Omaha.
Kunkel had a clutch at-bat in the bottom of the first for the Stag. Coming up with a runner on 1st and Portland trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run home run.
