The Portland Stag scored a 4-3 win versus the Tucson Tarantulas at Tuttle Fields. Portland pitcher Kerry Ligtenberg nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Portland is third in the Pacific West with a record of 50-45.
One significant plate appearance for Portland came with one out in the bottom of the third inning. Stag right fielder Jeff Kunkel drew a walk, driving in 1 run, which helped Portland go on to win.
