The Colorado Springs Sky Fox defeated the Portland Stag, 5-1. Earning player of the game honors was third baseman David Doster, who was 3-4 with 3 singles. Everett Stull picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-2. Scott Karl was tagged with the loss. Colorado Springs goes to 36-61, Portland to 51-46.

Julio Mosquera had a big 2-run double for the Sky Fox in the bottom of the first inning. With Colorado Springs leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Scott Karl and stroked the double to right. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Sky Fox ahead, 4-0.
