Stag Prevail, 6-4, Over New Orleans
|
Alex S Gonzalez helped his team muscle past the New Orleans Brass, 6-4. In the game, the Portland shortstop went 3-3 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs. The second-place Stag have won 7 in a row.
Hiroshi Shibahara had a big run-scoring single for the Stag in the bottom of the third inning. With Portland leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Luis Aquino and stroked the single to right. It was his 26th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stag ahead, 4-2.
"I like how we're playing right now," said Shibahara.
