Lampkin Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Omaha in Walk-Off Win
The Omaha Storm Chasers beat the Portland Stag, 9-8, at Maples Stadium. The Storm Chasers got a fine performance from first baseman Phil B. Clark, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-2 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Julio Machado picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Chuck Ricci was tagged with the loss. Omaha leads the Pacific Central by 6½ games.
