Road Win Lifts Buffalo to 3-1 Lead in DS
The Buffalo Bisons got an exceptional performance from starter Mark Gardner, who silenced the Asheville offense en route to a 3-0 shutout win in Game 4 of the Division Series today. The Moonshiners could never get a bead on the right-handed Gardner, who threw 8 innings of shutout ball to earn player of the game honors. The Bisons now hold a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-5 series.

Gardner was in the zone all game. He frustrated Asheville hitters while giving the Bisons 8 innings of quality work. Gardner threw 115 pitches, allowing 5 hits and getting 2 punchouts.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Asheville manager .
