The Danville Dairy Daddies started the League Championship Series in dominant fashion today, blowing out the host Buffalo Bisons at Aspinwall Grounds by a score of 11-3 and securing an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Dairy Daddies left fielder Rusty Greer was named player of the game as he went 3-6 with 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

Greer got the Dairy Daddies off to a quick start. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he hit a run-scoring double.

"Feels good to get the job done," Greer said after the game.

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow in Buffalo. Slated to start are Jose DeLeon for the Danville Dairy Daddies and Jeff Suppan for the the Buffalo Bisons.
