Dairy Daddies Win Again, Extend Series Lead to 2-0
The Danville Dairy Daddies moved to within one game of the League Championship Series today, downing the visiting Hartford Whalers at Kernels Ballpark by a score of 9-6. Dairy Daddies catcher Greg O'Halloran was named player of the game after he went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 3 times. The win gives the Dairy Daddies a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 Division Series.

Luis M. Lopez aided the Danville cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the second. For the game, the second baseman was 1 for 5, while scoring 2 runs.

"Winning is contagious," said O'Halloran. "We're looking forward to the next game."

The next game is set to be played Sunday, August 13th, 1995. Slated to start are Scott Kamieniecki for Danville and Pat Rapp for Hartford.
