Bisons Win, Move to Within 1 Game of League Championship Series
The Buffalo Bisons moved to within one game of the League Championship Series today, downing the Asheville Moonshiners on the road at Torrance Grounds by a score of 8-3. Bisons right-hander Mark Gardner was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 8 innings allowing 3 runs. The win gives the Bisons a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Division Series.

Todd Walker, the 21st overall pick in the 1995 draft, aided the Buffalo cause with a run-scoring triple in the top of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman was 2-4 with a triple and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.
