Brad Radke and the Buffalo Bisons opened the League Championship Series in brilliant fashion today, traveling to Savannah and shutting out the host Swamp Foxes at Paradise Grounds 3-0 to secure an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Radke, the Bisons right-hander, was named player of the game as he threw 8 innings of shutout ball.

Radke allowed no earned runs on 5 hits over 8 innings for the Bisons. He walked 1 and struck out 8.

Radke told a Buffalo Daily reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.

Game 2 is set to be played tomorrow at Paradise Grounds in Savannah. Slated to start are Mac Suzuki for Buffalo and Candy Sierra for Savannah.
