Brass Win to Extend Series Lead to 2-0
With starter Brian Barnes leading the charge, the New Orleans Brass defeated the Omaha Storm Chasers, 3-1, in Game 2 of the League Championship Series today. The left-hander threw 8 innings of 6-hit ball at Maples Stadium to help New Orleans take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Charlie Hayes aided the New Orleans cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the third. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 3 with a walk.

"I like our moxie," said Brass manager .

Game 3 is scheduled for Friday, August 18th, 1995 at Bay Hawks Ballpark. Slated to start are Pete J. Smith for the Omaha Storm Chasers and LaTroy Hawkins for the the New Orleans Brass.
