Omaha Breaks Through for First Win in League Championship Series; Now Trails 2-1
The Omaha Storm Chasers have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading New Orleans Brass, winning 6-3 at Bay Hawks Ballpark today. Storm Chasers right-hander Pete J. Smith was named player of the game after he threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Storm Chasers to 2-1 in the best-of-7 League Championship Series.

It could have been a different outcome for Omaha, had it not been for David Justice, the top prospect . Justice contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put Omaha up, 2-0.

"We lost," New Orleans manager said later. "We'll deal with it. The series isn't over."

Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow in New Orleans. Slated to start are Clint Zavaras for the Omaha Storm Chasers and Paul Wagner for the the New Orleans Brass.
