Brass Rally Past Storm Chasers for 4-1 Series Lead
When the games really matter, the New Orleans Brass put on their best show, beating the Omaha Storm Chasers by a final score of 5-4 today. Bill Wegman earned player of the game honors, as he threw 8 innings allowing 2 runs. New Orleans now leads Omaha 4-1 in the best-of-7 affair.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when New Orleans second baseman Jason Bates, facing Troy Percival, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Brass the 5-4 win.

Bates said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
