Rangers Hapless Against Cardinals, Arocha
|
The St. Louis Cardinals extended their winning streak at Arlington Stadium.
The St. Louis Cardinals got a rather unremarkable outing from starting pitcher Rene Arocha, but it was good enough for the club to take a 3-0 decision over the Texas Rangers. Steve Chitren earned his 24th save in 30 chances.
Arocha scattered 4 hits over 8.1 innings for the Cardinals. With the win, Arocha goes to 2-1 on the year with 14 strikeouts.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Arocha, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
This win makes it 9 in a row for St. Louis.
