In a high-scoring contest between Texas and Minnesota, left fielder Brian McRae was a difference-maker. McRae, who is tied for 6th in the FL in triples with 7, earned player of the game honors in the 11-10 Texas win. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Kirk Rueter picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Steve Karsay was tagged with the loss. The 4th-place Rangers have won 5 in a row.

McRae had a big hit for Texas with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Texas trailing 10-8, McRae hit a 3-run home run. It was his 16th home run of the season and put the Rangers up, 11-10.

"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," McRae said.
