Diamondbacks Bridle Dodgers, 3-1
|
In a low-scoring clash between Arizona and Los Angeles, pitcher Scott Sanders was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned player of the game honors for Arizona in the 3-1 win. Kelvim Escobar, credited with the save, is now 4 for 10 in save opportunities. The Diamondbacks bumped their record to 81-81 with this latest triumph.
With no one out in the bottom of the sixth, Bobby M Estalella barreled up a fastball from Roger Clemens. The result was a 2-run home run, putting the Diamondbacks in front, 3-0.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Sanders said.
