Royals Win at Minnesota, 6-3
|
Kansas City left fielder Ray Lankford had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Minnesota Twins, 6-3. Kevin Rogers finished to wrap up his 1st save. The Royals have an impressive 24-13 record.
Lankford had a game-changing single in the top of the seventh. On a 2-1 fastball from Rob Dibble, he banged a run-scoring single to left, giving the Royals a 3-2 lead. It was the 38th hit of the year for Lankford.
"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," said Lankford. "But I like how we're playing right now."
