Reed Finds Groove in 7-2 Triumph
The Kansas City Royals got a strong performance from pitcher Rick Reed, who stymied the St. Louis offense en route to a 7-2 win at Royals Stadium. The Royals, now 24-14, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.

Reed allowed 2 runs over 9 innings. He also racked up 9 strikeouts.

"We looked pretty good up and down," said Kansas City manager Daniel Drucker.
