Red Sox Topple Reds as Eto Shines
|
Akira Eto made an impact in the 8-5 Boston win over Cincinnati. Eto, who is the 2nd-best prospect in the Red Sox organization, was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Karl Best got the save, the 11th for him this season. With the win over Cincinnati, the Red Sox improved to 19-21.
Henry L. Rodriguez had an important at-bat with no one out in the top of the fourth, when he hit a 2-run home run. His 12th home run of the season put Boston on top, 2-0.
"It feels good to get this one," Eto told the Boston Daily News.
