Erickson Dazzles in St. Louis Win
|
St. Louis and New York duked it out at Yankee Stadium and the Cardinals came out victorious.
St. Louis pitcher Scott Erickson did his part in helping his team beat the New York Yankees, 3-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Steve Chitren notched his 13th save in 15 chances.
Erickson, now 9-4, scattered 2 hits over 8 innings for the Cardinals.
Erickson attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
