Athletics Get One-Run Win at Baltimore
|
The Oakland Athletics eked out a 4-3 win versus the Baltimore Orioles at Memorial Stadium. Nobody did more than third baseman Herbert Perry, who captured player of the game honors. Oakland is now riding a 4-game win streak.
The game turned with one out in the top of the sixth when Perry, who finished 3rd in the UL in doubles with 38 in 1995, hit a solo home run. It propelled the Athletics into the lead, 3-2.
"We did a lot of things right," said Perry.
