Harvey Earns 300th Save In Pirates Win Over Royals Friday, March 31st, 1995 The Pittsburgh Pirates really celebrated their 2-1 victory over the Kansas City Royals at Royals Stadium. Not only did the Pirates win the game, but reliever Bryan Harvey recorded his 300th-career save. The bullpen ace stopped Kansas City on no runs and no hits in his 1 innings of work to seal the triumph. "It's a good milestone -- it doesn't happen very often," Harvey said.
