Arizona's Youmans Shuts Out Expos Monday, June 23rd, 1997 Floyd Youmans of the Arizona Diamondbacks was masterful today, pitching a 2-hit shutout, 4-0, against the Montreal Expos. By going the distance, he was at the same time able to give his bullpen a rest, a fact appreciated by Arizona manager Alen Maglajac. "It's nice to have someone who can do that from time to time," he said. "He had command of every ball and every pitch. Great location, too." Youmans had 6 strikeouts and 1 walk in the outing.
