Milwaukee's Elway Hammers #400 Wednesday, September 17th, 1997 The Milwaukee Creams defeated the New York Yankees 7-1 yesterday in a game that featured John Elway's 400th career home run. In the clubhouse, the Creams right fielder spoke about the milestone achievement. "To be honest, I don't even remember my first home run," he said. "But this one I don't think I'll forget. Who knows if I'll hit another hundred, or fifty, or even ten?" On his historic day, Elway banged out 1 hit in 4 at-bats and scored 1 run with 2 runs batted in.
