Whitehurst Records Shutout Against Giants

Wally Whitehurst of the Seattle Pilots humiliated the San Francisco Giants at Kingdome today, spinning a complete game shutout and holding the visitors to 4 hits.
"He stayed aggressive and his ball was really moving," said San Francisco manager Alen Maglajac, after the game.
Whitehurst whiffed 6 and walked 3 in the 3-0 win.
"If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Whitehurst said. "I was making good pitches the entire game."
In 18 starts this season Whitehurst has chalked up a 9-6 record and a 3.81 ERA.
