Athletics Blank Orioles, VanLandingham Wins

William VanLandingham of the Oakland Athletics humiliated the Baltimore Orioles at Oakland Coliseum today, spinning a complete game shutout and holding the visitors to 1 hit.
"He stayed aggressive and his ball was really moving," said Baltimore manager Daniel Ward, after the game.
VanLandingham whiffed 12 and walked 1 in the 4-0 win.
"If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," VanLandingham said. "I was making good pitches the entire game."
This season-to-date, VanLandingham has fashioned a 6-7 mark and 4.59 ERA in 102 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .217 against him and he has logged 103 strikeouts.
