Langston Fires Shutout in Yankees Victory

In a splendid 2-0 shutout performance, Mark Langston of the New York Yankees subdued the Boston Red Sox on a 2-hitter.
"He kept hitting his spots and putting up zeroes, so I kept sending him out there," New York manager Patrick McQuail said in postgame comments.
Langston registered 7 strikeouts and 5 walks.
In 24 starts this year Langston has crafted a 9-9 record and a 4.43 ERA.
