Johnson Brilliant, Fans 15
Saturday, September 3rd, 1994
Led by an outstanding performance from starter Randy Johnson, the Seattle Pilots topped the Oakland Athletics today by a score of 4-2 at Oakland Coliseum. The 30-year-old Johnson brought his top game to the mound, striking out 15 batters while allowing 7 hits and giving up 1 walk.
"He made a lot of good pitches out there," Athletics manager Jim B said. "He made some of our guys look bad. We didn't help matters, but we really have to give him credit -- he didn't make many mistakes."
So far this year Johnson has a 15-9 record with a 3.28 ERA.
