Swift on Top of His Game

Bill C. Swift of the St. Louis Cardinals humiliated the Boston Red Sox at Busch Stadium today, spinning a complete game shutout and holding the visitors to 1 hit.
"He stayed aggressive and his ball was really moving," said Boston manager Brett Williams, after the game.
Swift whiffed 4 and walked 0 in the 2-0 win.
"If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Swift said. "I was making good pitches the entire game."
So far this year Swift has made 30 starts, tossed 205 innings, struck out 138 batters and walked 50. His record is 12-10 with a 3.78 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .230 batting average.
