Ruffin Pitches Chicago to Shutout Victory Friday, September 16th, 1994 The Chicago White Sox rolled to an easy 5-0 win over the Kansas City Royals at Royals Stadium today. Leading the way to victory was starter Bruce Ruffin, who shackled the Kansas City Royals and held them scoreless on a 5-hitter. "This is what every pitcher wants to do when they go out there," Ruffin said in his postgame press conference.
