Cubs Prevail, as Division Series Goes to the Wire
Wednesday, October 5th, 1994
A classic and dramatic Division Series has wrapped up, with the Chicago Cubs outlasting the Orlando Sun Rays to advance to the League Championship.
Chicago won the final game by a score of 12-5 and took the series 4-3.
"We can enjoy this one tonight, but then it's back to work and thinking about the next win," said Chicago left fielder Dion James, whose standout performance earned him the nod as series MVP.
James hit .375 with a .444 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 3 runs.
The Chicago Cubs will play against the St. Louis Cardinals in the next round. St. Louis won their series against the Kansas City Royals 4 games to 3. The League Championship schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
