Holt Sparkles in Shutout
Thursday, May 1st, 1997
The Hartford Whalers rolled to an easy 5-0 win over the Rochester Red Wings at Wolves Ballpark today. Leading the way to victory was starter Chris Holt, who shackled the Rochester Red Wings and held them scoreless on a 4-hitter.
"This is what every pitcher wants to do when they go out there," Holt said in his postgame press conference.
Holt has taken the mound for no relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 4-2 record with a 4.40 ERA. The Hartford reliever has limited opposing batters to a .287 batting average.
