Helling Shuts Out Sky Fox Monday, June 16th, 1997 The Spokane River Rats rolled to an easy 6-0 win over the Colorado Springs Sky Fox at Foxes Ballpark today. Leading the way to victory was starter Rick Helling, who shackled the Colorado Springs Sky Fox and held them scoreless on a 5-hitter. "This is what every pitcher wants to do when they go out there," Helling said in his postgame press conference. Helling has taken the mound for no relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 6-6 record with a 2.93 ERA.
