Great Day for Garcia -- 5 Hits Tuesday, May 9th, 1995 Karim Garcia exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Foxes Ballpark. The San Antonio right fielder had a field day in the 19-0 triumph over the Spokane River Rats, finishing 5-for-7. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Garcia must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Karim Garcia singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
