Tatis Batters New Orleans for 5 Hits Thursday, August 14th, 1997 It was a parade of hits for Fernando Tatis of the Portland Stag at Bay Hawks Ballpark today. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Tatis finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Stag to a 11-2 victory. "Tatis was really good and we were really bad," groaned Brass manager . "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Fernando Tatis doubled in the 1st, tripled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th and singled in the 7th.
