Rayford on Fire, Named Player of the Week Monday, May 15th, 1995 There's no arguing that 37-year-old Floyd Rayford has paid his dues and this this week he collected. The Danville Dairy Daddies third baseman had one of the best weeks of his career and captured the Atlantic Player of the Week trophy. He hit .484 while collecting 15 hits in 31 at-bats, 4 home runs, 7 RBIs and 9 runs scored. This year Rayford has socked 35 hits in 103 at-bats for a .340 average with 8 home runs. He is getting on base at a .376 pace and his totals also include 21 RBIs and 18 runs scored. |
