Mejia Tags Sky Fox for 5 Hits Monday, July 3rd, 1995 Roberto Mejia did a number on the Sky Fox in the Tucson 22-1 victory today, and the number was 5. The Tarantulas second baseman banged out 5 hits in 7 at-bats at Motors Ballpark to lead his club past the Colorado Springs Sky Fox. "I felt good in the batter's box today," he said later. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Roberto Mejia flied out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Darren Hall in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. Mejia is hitting .281 this year with 13 home runs, 61 RBIs and 57 runs scored. He has 101 hits in 359 at-bats, 31 walks and a .338 on-base percentage. Mejia has played in 87 games.
