Zambrano Blasts Stag, Bisons Take Game 2, 7-6
The Buffalo Bisons relied on the hitting of right fielder Eddie Zambrano to get by the Portland Stag, 7-6, in Game 2 of the World Series today. For the game, Zambrano went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The clubs are now tied, 1-1.

David Howard contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he drew a walk. It was one at-bat that propelled Buffalo to the win.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Howard, "but a win in the playoffs is nothing to sniff at."

Game 3 is set to be played Wednesday, September 3rd, 1997 at Tuttle Fields in Portland. The scheduled starters for the game are Danny Jackson for the Buffalo Bisons and Dave Burba for the the Portland Stag.
